Frequently Asked Questions
You keep saying 'plastic free' but your plates are made from plastic!
If we refer to our party kits as 'plastic free' we mean they do not contain single-use plastic. For children under 10 years old and for outdoor celebrations it is ideal to have lightweight and unbreakable partyware, so our reusable plastic partyware is a great option.
Isn’t using paper plates environmentally friendly?
Recyclable paper plates can only be recycled if they’re clean. You should also consider the energy and natural resources that were used to create this item that is designed to be used once.
Isn’t using disposable bamboo/palm leaf plates environmentally friendly?
Yes and no. It’s definitely the best disposable option, but when you consider the processing and transport of these plates it’s not the most sustainable option. However if this option suits you better we recommend visiting Urban Revolution for an excellent selection of environmentally friendly disposable partyware.
Can't you recycle plastic plates?
Recyclable single-use plastic plates can only be recycled if they’re clean, if that type of plastic is recyclable at all (check this helpful guide on recycling in the Town of Victoria Park). Even if you do clean your single-use plastic plates on average only 14% of plastic is successfully recovered for recycling.
How do I wash the party kits?
